Job Title : Housing Support Worker
Job Type: Part Time ( Three Month Maternity Cover)
Hours: 20 hours
Salary: £8.00 /hour
Easy Housing Association is a registered provider of housing and housing related support and also a registered charity and a company. The Association provides its housing and housing related support services to the disadvantaged and socially excluded members of the community.
We are seeking an experienced housing support worker self creative, self-motivating and resourceful staff with a willingness to go the extra mile to cover three month maternity leave and based in Birmingham.
You will be providing support to a holistic housing related support service for customers who are homeless or at risk of being homeless. Adopting a preventative approach where the root causes of homelessness are proactively addressed at the earliest possible stage; empowering customers to sustain long term achievements.
You will possess excellent communication skills, be resilient, energetic and adaptable to meet individual needs of people who may present with challenging behaviors and complex needs.
As a Housing Support Worker,you will be making a real difference as you will be responsible for providing a supportive, safe and stable environment for vulnerable adults of all ages. You will help them prepare for the challenges life brings, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills to thrive independently. This role can be challenging, so you’ll also need to be non-judgmental, sensitive and confident of being able to support people during challenging times.
Although relevant experience, either voluntary or paid, is preferable, it is more important that you’re able to engage with young people and able to see situations from a young person’s perspective.

On offer is a salary of £8.00 per hour, rising after the probationary period (6 months). Also, Pro rota holiday is on offer, and reimbursement of logged mileage expenses.
